He was born in Alexandria (Egypt) in 1950 and graduated in law from the University of Milan in 1976. Since 1981, he has been working as Notary in Bergamo, after having passed the notary public exam organised according to the Decree of the General Director 1980.

Since the establishment of the office, the Notary avails of the collaboration of highly qualified and specialised professionals in their respective areas of competence.
In addition to working in all sectors traditionally related to the notarial activity, the Notary has gained considerable skills and experience in the corporate field and in extraordinary and complex operations for the reorganization of corporate Groups.
The Notary also operates in the non-profit sector and he is a consultant for numerous institutions, foundations and cultural institutions of Bergamo (such as Fondazione della Comunità Bergamasca, Polli Stoppani, Bergamo per Bergamo, Donizetti, Teatro Donizetti, Bernareggi and others).
He is an expert on issues of commercial law and non-profit organisations for professional and trade associations.
In 2002 Farhat Office was chosen by the Bergamo Business Register to test the new “Telemaco” procedures and was appointed Pilot Office for “Comunicazione Unica”, which came into force on 1st April 2010.
Furthermore, in 2003 and 2004, the Office was acknowledged by the Società Consortile Informatica “Infocamere” as one of the best ten users in Italy for telematic submission services relating to Companies. The Notary constantly collaborates with “Infocamere” for the drafting of statistics and surveys.
In 2011 the Office was the first (and as of today is the only one) with quality certification in the Province of Bergamo (DNV – UNI EN ESO 9001-2008 regulation).
In addition to working in all sectors traditionally related to the notarial activity, the Notary has always actively participated in the social and cultural life of the Bergamo community and has gained considerable skills and experience in the non-profit sectors and in the social and cultural sphere.
The Notary is a Board Member of the Fondazione della Comunità Bergamasca. In addition to his participation to the traditional activities of charity and support of socially useful initiatives, in 2017 he oversaw, as a professional, the donation by a well-known family from Bergamo of a collection of paintings by Bergamo artists of the twentieth century. He also participated to the preparation of the exhibition “L’incanto svelato” hosted at Palazzo Polli Stoppani in the Città Alta from the 1st December 2018 with more than 40 works from the collection of the Cariplo Foundation and from prestigious Bergamo collections.
He is a Board Member of the Adriano Bernareggi Foundation, one of the cultural instruments with pastoral intention of the Diocese of Bergamo. He is currently working on the creation of a museum itinerary in the Aula Picta of Piazza Duomo and on the development of the cultural spaces of Palazzo Bassi Rathgeb owned by the Foundation.
He is a Legal Adviser for the Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery of Bergamo, the Polli Stoppani Foundation and the Teatro Donizetti Foundation.
He is a Board Member of the online newspaper Bergamonews which he founded in 2008 together with other professionals and entrepreneurs. Currently it has 100,000 views a day and it is an important reference point for the social, economic and cultural life of the province of Bergamo.
He is a member of the Rotary Club Bergamo and he was its president in 2015/2016. For many years he was responsible for cultural programs and activities, promoting visits to art cities and exhibitions, as well as numerous convivial meetings focusing on Italian art and artists from the 16th to the 18th century.
Paolo Divizia is a Ligurian Notary born in 1978.
He has been working as Notary in Bergamo since 2013, after he passed the notary public exam organised according to the Decree of the General Director 2009.
He graduated with honours from the University of Genoa at the age of 23 and he has been a member of the Bar Association of Milan since he was 25.
At the age of 26, he obtained a PhD at the University of Milan (Festa del Perdono), with a multidisciplinary dissertation on commercial and administrative law.
From 2007 to 2013 he was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Genoa.
Since 2014 he has been collaborating with the University of Bergamo as Professor of Commercial Law at the faculty of Economics and Business Studies.
In this academic field, he is responsible for the Monographic Course on “Merger between companies”.
From 2014 to 2017 he was a professor for the IPSOA Master’s Degree in Company Law (directed by Prof. Oreste Cagnasso).
Since 2014 he has been teaching for several EUTEKNE Masters in the field of corporate law and large estates estate planning.
Since 2014 he has been a speaker on issues of commercial law for the Union of Young Chartered Accountants at the Bergamo and Savona offices.
Since 2015 he has been an expert at Confindustria Bergamo in the field of estate planning and management of large estates.
Since 2015 he has been the Notary of the Opstart Group for the launch of equity crowdfunding campaigns and the financing of innovative start-ups.
He is the author of five monographs and over forty articles, published in scientific journals of national importance (IPSOA, Giuffré, Utet, Cedam and others).
